China State Construction Signs Contract for Kuwait Sewage Treatment Plant and Supporting Projects

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 27, a contract signing ceremony for the North Kabd Sewage Treatment Plant and supporting projects in Kuwait, undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, was held in Hawalli Governorate, Kuwait.

Kuwait's Minister of Public Works, Noura Al-Mashaan, stated at the ceremony that this project is a key initiative for Kuwait's infrastructure and sewage treatment system development. The signing of the contract reflects the continuous deepening of practical cooperation between China and Kuwait, marking an important achievement in implementing relevant agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two governments, and will further promote local sustainable development.

The North Kabd Sewage Treatment Plant and supporting projects are a landmark initiative in the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Kuwait, deepening cooperation in infrastructure and ecological and environmental protection. Upon completion, the project will enhance Kuwait's capacity for sewage collection, transportation, treatment, and reclaimed water utilization, improve the regional ecological environment and public service standards, and provide strong support for Kuwait's implementation of the "2035 National Vision" and the promotion of sustainable economic and social development.

Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmad, along with officials from the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait, relevant Kuwaiti government officials, and corporate representatives, attended the event.
