en.Wedoany.com Reported - Envision Energy, in partnership with European renewable energy producer Kallista Energy, has delivered the 193 MW / 386 MWh Neuilly-en-Thelle battery energy storage system (BESS) project in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Construction began in early July 2026, with commercial operation expected by spring 2028.

Following the groundbreaking of Envision Energy's first BESS project in France, Saleux, in 2025, Neuilly-en-Thelle marks a deepening of the partnership between the two companies. The project also provides a scalable reference model for energy storage deployment in Europe, advancing the construction of the region's future energy system.
Envision Energy will supply its advanced BESS solution and oversee the project's full lifecycle management, including on-site maintenance and battery recycling after 25 years of operation. The project utilizes lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells from Envision AESC, supported by the company's 10 GWh gigafactory in the Hauts-de-France region, which has been operational since June 2025. This model combines local battery manufacturing with system integration to enhance regional industrial capabilities and energy infrastructure resilience. Once operational, the system will provide critical flexibility services to the French grid, including frequency regulation through RTE's reserve market, helping to balance electricity supply and demand. With a storage capacity equivalent to the daily consumption of 30,000 households, the project will improve grid stability, facilitate greater integration of renewable energy, and support France's ongoing electrification process.
