Wedoany.com Report, On February 25, Google's parent company Alphabet formally integrated Intrinsic, its company focused on industrial robotics AI, into Google's business operations. Intrinsic is dedicated to making industrial robotics technology more accessible to manufacturers by building AI models and software. The company will operate as an independent team within Google, closely collaborating with Google DeepMind while leveraging the Gemini AI model and Google Cloud resources.

Intrinsic was initially incubated within Alphabet's X research division. After five years of development, it became an independent company in 2021. Its core goal is to help manufacturers who lack specialized engineering teams apply industrial robotics AI. Although hardware costs have decreased, robot programming remains relatively complex. Intrinsic's Flowstate platform allows users to build robot applications without extensive coding, aiming for hardware, software, and AI model agnosticism. Google CEO Sundar Pichai once compared it to Android in the robotics field. Intrinsic CEO Wendy Tan White stated: "He said it's Android for robotics."
Google recently aims to provide integrated solutions for manufacturers by consolidating robotics capabilities. This includes hiring the former CTO of Boston Dynamics, releasing a robotics SDK, and this absorption of Intrinsic. Google is also collaborating with Boston Dynamics to integrate Gemini into the Atlas humanoid robot. McKinsey predicts that by 2040, the market size for general-purpose robots could reach $370 billion.
Google plans to integrate Intrinsic's robotics development platform and vision models into a broader AI ecosystem to enhance robots' perception and learning capabilities. Intrinsic acquired an open-source robotics company in 2022 and established a partnership with Foxconn in October 2025, focusing on automation in electronics manufacturing. White emphasized that integration will bring production economies and operational transformation. Once Google's infrastructure support is in place, advanced manufacturing will become easier to achieve. With the synergy of Gemini, DeepMind, and Google Cloud, the deployment infrastructure for industrial robotics AI is now ready.
