Wedoany.com Report, On March 5th, a delegation from the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone in Shandong, China, visited Hanma Technology Group. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on methanol energy R&D and technological applications. Attendees of the meeting included Kang Maoli, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone; Shen Hongming, Director of the New Energy Center at Shengli Petroleum Engineering Company; Gao Wei, Chairman of Shengli Oilfield Shengli Power Machinery Group; Li Zhefeng, Strategic Development Director of Remote New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group; and Ding Guichun, Executive General Manager of Alcohol Hydrogen Power Company.

During the meeting, Hanma Technology Group and Shengli Oilfield Shengli Power Machinery Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will integrate resources and industrial advantages to focus on the R&D and promotion of methanol power, aiming to achieve annual sales of 400 units/sets to support the new energy industry layout in Dongying and the green transformation of oilfield equipment.

The Dongying region possesses abundant renewable resources, including solar, wind, and thermal energy. As a traditional oil and gas production base, Shengli Oilfield faces challenges in energy conservation and carbon reduction for power equipment under the "dual carbon" goals. For a long time, oilfield power generation has relied on diesel generators, which suffer from high operating costs, maintenance difficulties, emissions, and noise issues, making it difficult to meet the demands of green development and creating an urgent need for alternatives.

Recently, China's National Energy Administration held a special symposium on the development of the green fuel industry, emphasizing that developing green fuels is a key direction for ensuring energy security, reducing carbon emissions, and fostering new quality productive forces in the energy sector. Green methanol, as a clean, efficient, and easily storable/transportable fuel, aligns with national strategy and the requirements for high-quality development of the Dongying oilfield industry. Hanma Technology provides mature methanol electric technology solutions, effectively complementing Dongying's industrial green transformation needs.

In oilfield application scenarios, the methanol shelter-type distributed power station products launched by Hanma Technology achieve "methanol replacing oil" and "methanol replacing gas," helping to protect the fragile ecology of plateaus and oilfields and adapting to the industrial transformation needs of the Dongying oilfield. This solution can rapidly deploy megawatt-level methanol distributed power stations through methods like "two engines one skid" and "four engines one skid" for parallel unit networking. The unit varieties are diverse, with single-unit rated power ranging from 30-300kW and the highest methanol-to-electricity conversion rate reaching 2.05 kWh/L. Compared to traditional fuel oil, fuel costs are reduced by over 32%; compared to gas, savings are about 10%, while achieving near-zero emissions. Currently, the number of Hanma Technology methanol electric generator sets in actual operation in oilfields has exceeded 1,500 sets, providing a practical foundation for large-scale application in Dongying oilfield scenarios.

This meeting and agreement signing will promote the green replacement process of power equipment at Shengli Oilfield and optimize the new energy industry layout in Dongying, exploring a green and low-carbon development path for resource-based cities. Hanma Technology plans to continue focusing on technological innovation, strengthen strategic cooperation with industry chain partners, concentrate on green energy transformation, and promote the industry's development towards higher-end, intelligent, and green directions.
