en.Wedoany.com Report, On March 25, Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar-Elektroindustrija announced that it has signed a contract with Swedish national grid operator Svenska Kraftnat to deliver a 400/130/21 kV autotransformer. This contract is valued at €4.6 million (approximately $5 million) and is part of the 400 kV grid reconstruction project in southern Sweden, aimed at upgrading the power infrastructure.

The autotransformer is planned to be installed at the Hored substation to replace existing equipment, with an expected delivery time by the end of 2026. This marks Koncar's third collaboration with Svenska Kraftnat, following successful deliveries of similar equipment in 2016 and 2020, including a 400/130/21 kV autotransformer and a 400/130 kV autotransformer. The fulfillment of this contract will support the modernization of the Swedish power grid and enhance power transmission efficiency.

Koncar stated that this cooperation further solidifies its position in the European electrical equipment market. As Sweden continues to advance its grid upgrades, autotransformers, as key equipment, play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and reliability of power transmission.
