en.Wedoany.com Reported - On May 8, the cement kiln co-processing fly ash and hazardous waste project located in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, China, was officially put into operation. The project, invested with 139 million yuan by China Resources Cement (Changjiang) Co., Ltd., is the first fly ash resource utilization project in Hainan Province, designed to process 50,000 tons of fly ash and 29,200 tons of hazardous waste annually.

Since its commissioning earlier this year, the project has cumulatively processed 5,200 tons of fly ash and 3,800 tons of hazardous waste, and produced by-products such as crystalline salt from the washing process. The project uses fly ash from household waste incineration power plants across Hainan Province as raw material, adopting the process technology of "fly ash washing + evaporative desalination + cement kiln co-processing" to convert fly ash into cement raw material after pretreatment processes such as washing and desalination.

Through this project, China Resources Cement (Changjiang) Co., Ltd. integrates household waste incineration fly ash into the cement production process, replacing part of the cement raw materials while achieving harmless disposal of fly ash. This process reduces the environmental risks associated with traditional fly ash landfill disposal methods and provides a disposal pathway for household waste incineration fly ash across Hainan Province.
