en.Wedoany.com Reported - German rental company Gagarin has taken delivery of its first Liebherr all-terrain crane, the 90-tonne class LTM 1090-4.2.

New crane arrives

The crane features a four-axle design with a 60-meter main boom, and can achieve a maximum lifting height of nearly 80 meters using a 9.5 to 16-meter double folding swing-away jib (manually adjustable angle). Its technical highlights include the VarioBase variable outrigger setup, a remote control system, and Ecodrive and Ecomode systems. Gagarin stated that this new machine fills the gap between its 60-tonne and 100-tonne models in the fleet, and will serve as an all-rounder for tasks such as steel structure installation, construction work, and tower crane assembly.

Commercial Director Florian Schebler noted that market demand is growing for compact machines that offer sufficient power for demanding lifts while avoiding complex road permit procedures. He believes this 90-tonne crane can efficiently handle many jobs that smaller cranes cannot manage, yet where a 120-tonne crane would be too cumbersome.

Founded in 2015, Gagarin operates from locations in Waldaschaff and Hammersbach, with a fleet comprising mobile cranes, aerial work platforms, forklifts, and excavators. The company is also a member of System Lift, an association of independent regional rental companies in Germany.
