en.Wedoany.com Reported - Turkish shipyard Sanmar Shipyards has secured newbuilding contracts for a total of 10 tugs on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The contracts involve three clients: fleet expansions with long-term partners SAAM Towage and HAISEA Marine, as well as a first-time collaboration with FAIRPLAY TOWAGE GROUP.

On May 20, Sanmar signed a new agreement with SAAM Towage for five new vessels, including four RAmparts 2400SX-MKIl tugs and one RAstar 2900SX tug. SAAM has maintained its commitment to sustainable operations since 2018, bringing the total number of Sanmar-built vessels in its fleet to 18.

The partnership with HAISEA Marine began in 2023, when Sanmar delivered its green fleet, including three all-electric ElectRA 2800SX tugs and two dual-fuel LNG-powered RAstar 4000DF vessels. The latest order is for one RAstar 4000 tug.

On May 21, Sanmar signed its first contract with European towage operator FAIRPLAY TOWAGE GROUP to build one RAstar 3200S and one RAmpage 4200 tug. FAIRPLAY has also retained options for two additional vessels of the same type.
