en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rockhaven, a TSX-listed gold and silver mining company, has received approval from the Yukon Government's Department of Energy, Mines and Resources to extract high-grade direct shipping oxide material from its wholly-owned Klaza deposit.

The permit allows for trenching, extraction, and removal of mineralized vein material from the Western BRX zone, along a 460-meter strike length of confirmed vein structures, from the surface down to a depth of 3.5 meters.

The Klaza deposit is road-accessible and is not subject to any royalty payments.

Matt Turner, President and CEO of Rockhaven, stated that the surface grades of the Klaza deposit rank among the highest for precious metal deposits in Canada, and the company is excited to begin extracting direct shipping oxide material.

Turner noted that it is not possible to speculate on the economic potential of this bulk sampling and shipping program, but by following a comprehensive set of site protocols, the project can gather valuable information to support a potential larger-scale development of the Klaza project. This data will be incorporated into an updated mineral resource model and a pre-feasibility study (PFS).

To advance this development approach, Rockhaven has signed scope agreements for excavation, crushing, and transportation, as well as an offtake agreement for material handling for the project.

The offtake agreement with Ocean Partners UK also provides a US$1.5 million revolving credit facility to support the extraction and transportation of direct shipping material. Rockhaven will deliver up to 10,000 tonnes of material to Ocean Partners' overseas facilities by the end of 2028.

The company expects to begin direct shipping operations in early June.

Turner explained that much of the surface overburden in the Western BRX zone has already been removed as part of the 2025 work program, allowing bulk sampling to commence immediately upon mobilization of personnel to the site.

Due to the oxidized nature of the material, direct shipping material can be excavated directly without the need for drilling or blasting prior to extraction.

Although the bulk sampling program is the company's primary focus for 2026, Rockhaven may also choose to conduct a drilling program focused on mineral resource expansion and infill drilling, and to obtain samples for further advanced metallurgical testing to support the pre-feasibility study (PFS).
