en.Wedoany.com Reported - Google has launched an AI application called Dreambeans, which automatically generates a curated list of AI-illustrated stories daily based on user-authorized Google service data. The content covers lifestyle advice, activity recommendations, and news summaries.

Gozde Oznur, the product lead for this app, introduced that Dreambeans' core feature utilizes "Personal Intelligence" technology. With user permission, it connects to information from Google apps such as Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and search history to curate a limited set of daily stories. These stories come in various forms, including geographic recommendations, such as suggesting new coffee shops near the user's home that might be of interest; or content based on calendar events, like providing stories related to tips for new dog owners when the user's calendar marks the adoption of a new dog; and even filtering news articles from the web based on the user's past interests.

Dreambeans is designed as a tool to combat the habit of "doomscrolling," offering users only a limited number of stories each day, typically 10 to 14. The product philosophy is to allow users to gain some inspiration and then return to real life. Currently, using AI to generate lifestyle advice to attract users tired of phone addiction has become a focus for several tech companies.

In terms of privacy protection, according to Oznur, the only person who can access the app's stories is the user themselves. Users can delete their data at any time and choose which specific Google services to connect. The app's name "Dreambeans" is partly inspired by the system processing data while users sleep: the app processes data from all connected apps overnight and provides users with a concentrated dose of inspiration in the morning, much like freshly brewed coffee. Currently, Dreambeans is only available to eligible Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US, supporting both Android and iOS platforms. Users with a personal Google account can also join a waitlist for access.
