en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian exploration company Constellation Resources Limited (ASX: CNR) announced on 9 June 2026 that its first reverse circulation drilling at the Chatham Prospect of the Ularring Copper Gold Project in Western Australia has confirmed shallow copper-gold mineralisation. Two major mineralised drill holes both intersected mineralisation from surface, located within the strong weathered zone near the granite-greenstone contact, which is interpreted as part of the regionally significant Meenar Shear. Drill hole CHR001 intersected 7 metres at 0.25% copper and 0.04 g/t gold, while drill hole CHR004 intersected 15 metres at 0.22% copper and 0.08 g/t gold, with mineralisation below the weathering zone yet to be drill-tested.

Constellation Resources Limited, established in 2011 and headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, is an Australian Securities Exchange-listed mineral exploration company focused on copper, gold, nickel, and natural hydrogen exploration in Western Australia. In September 2024, the company acquired the Ularring Copper Gold Project from Breaker Resources NL for A$200,000 through its wholly-owned subsidiary CR1 Minerals Pty Ltd. The project covers approximately 222 square kilometres and comprises three granted exploration licences within the Yilgarn Craton, located about 100 kilometres east of Perth. The project area has a strike length of approximately 24 kilometres along the Meenar Shear, and this drilling represents the first drill testing in the Chatham area. The company also received co-funding of A$57,500 from the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme for this reverse circulation drilling program. In accordance with the JORC 2012 Code, the competent person is the company's Technical Director, Peter Muccilli, who has reviewed and confirmed the drilling results.

The Chatham geochemical anomaly extends 1.3 kilometres east-west and 0.45 kilometres north-south, with peak values of 78 ppb gold and 1126 ppm copper, accompanied by a multi-element assemblage including silver, tellurium, and tungsten, consistent with previously recorded copper-gold intersections at the Mid-Forrest Prospect within the project. The Chatham Prospect is located approximately 12 kilometres along strike from Mid-Forrest. A total of 12 drill holes for 450 metres of reverse circulation drilling were designed for this program, with the primary objective of testing whether the source of the surface copper-gold soil anomaly is bedrock or the weathered zone. Drilling confirmed the presence of copper-gold mineralisation from surface within the weathered zone, with a weathering depth of approximately 40 metres. Several drill holes terminated early at the planned depth, but mineralisation remains open along strike. Additionally, the company plans to undertake four work programs in the next work season along the Meenar Shear, including shallow air-core drilling, deep reverse circulation drilling, induced polarisation geophysical surveys, and infill surface geochemical sampling, to further test the primary mineralisation potential below the weathered zone.
