The contract was signed by LSCUS, Gaon Cable's US subsidiary, which will provide busway systems for the AI data center project. A busway is an enclosed modular power distribution system that encapsulates copper or aluminum conductors in an insulated metal housing, designed to reliably transmit large-scale electricity within AI data centers.

LSCUS had previously secured long-term busway supply contracts totaling 5 trillion won with global tech giants. This latest agreement expands the company's customer base to include generative AI enterprises. LSCUS reported first-quarter sales of approximately 135 billion won, representing a year-over-year increase of over 20%.

Gaon Cable is also expanding its cable business in the US market. Earlier this month, the company signed a contract worth approximately 35 billion won to supply medium-voltage (MV) cables for the power infrastructure of an AI data center in the US. Gaon Cable expects related sales to exceed 100 billion won this year.

Gaon Cable CEO Jung Hyun stated that the company plans to further expand its market share in the US AI data center power infrastructure sector.
