en.Wedoany.com Reported - UAE telecom and digital services provider du has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Open Innovation AI, an enterprise specializing in artificial intelligence infrastructure and enterprise workload orchestration, aimed at accelerating the deployment of autonomous AI workforces in government agencies and enterprises. The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) is co-driving this collaboration.

The MoU was signed at the Dubai 2026 Digital Readiness Retreat. du Chief ICT Officer Jasim Al Awadi and Dr. Abed Benaichouche, Co-founder and CEO of Open Innovation AI, signed the agreement in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council. The collaboration leverages du Tech's National Supercloud Platform, a sub-brand of du, which is certified by the CSC to provide locally governed computing power for the UAE's AI-driven economy.
His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, emphasized that sovereign AI is a national security priority, and this local collaboration represents the secure, indigenous AI infrastructure orchestration required by the UAE. The Council is committed to fostering an environment where AI is securely governed within the UAE's jurisdiction.
The partnership combines du's digital infrastructure and cloud capabilities with Open Innovation AI's expertise in AI infrastructure orchestration, GPU resource management, and AI security. By integrating du Tech's National Supercloud with Open Innovation AI's architecture, public and private organizations can deploy and scale autonomous AI workloads more rapidly while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
According to the MoU, both parties will explore technical integration to achieve GPU orchestration and resource management, sovereign AI platform development, commercial deployment, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
Jasim Al Awadi, du's Chief ICT Officer, noted that true digital sovereignty requires infrastructure capable of supporting cognitive workloads. Combined with Open Innovation AI's orchestration platform, du Tech's CSC-certified National Supercloud provides the foundational computing engine needed for secure, indigenous autonomous AI deployment. The collaboration will build a secure and compliant backbone, enabling UAE government agencies and enterprises to deploy autonomous AI workforces.
Both parties will assess opportunities to establish sovereign AI and GPU orchestration capabilities on du Tech's National Supercloud infrastructure, supporting innovation while ensuring secure access to AI computing resources. This initiative will help develop solutions and autonomous AI agents that meet the UAE's demand for trusted, locally governed AI services, embedding security and data sovereignty at the infrastructure level.
Dr. Abed Benaichouche, Co-founder and CEO of Open Innovation AI, stated that the MoU marks a significant step toward establishing a sovereign AI foundation in the UAE. By combining Open Innovation's sovereign AI architecture with du Tech's National Supercloud, the aim is to provide government and enterprises with secure, local computing resources to meet AI workload demands, keeping data, models, and infrastructure within the UAE's jurisdiction.
The agreement expands du's AI partner ecosystem, reinforces du Tech's role as a sovereign infrastructure enabler, and places cybersecurity governance at its core.
