Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Agentic AI Project, stated that the initiative holds strategic significance in accelerating the adoption of Agentic AI across government entities to improve performance and enhance service outcomes, while also supporting the UAE's vision of building a future-ready government driven by artificial intelligence. Al Gergawi noted that the UAE is consolidating its global leadership in adopting best government practices by developing flexible work models capable of fully leveraging Agentic AI capabilities. Artificial intelligence represents an advanced stage in the evolution of government work, possessing unique capabilities such as assisting employees, accelerating task completion, enhancing productivity, and promoting data-driven decision-making, which directly improve government efficiency and the quality of outcomes. He emphasized that the initiative aims to equip government talent with the skills needed to integrate AI-driven tools into their daily work.

Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Secretary-General of the Cabinet, who oversees the operational and institutional support pathway for the Agentic AI Project, stated that the UAE government is committed to removing obstacles by streamlining operational processes across federal ministries and entities and categorizing operations prioritized for Agentic AI transformation to reshape core government workflows. She also noted that identifying existing and under-development application projects within each government entity is crucial for formulating a comprehensive Agentic AI implementation plan.

With the participation of over 140 government officials and experts, the workshop's pathway sessions identified 10 key areas, including human resources, procurement and contracts, financial and administrative affairs, legislative affairs, internal audit, digital transformation and technical support, institutional communication and media, facility management and maintenance, and shared operational processes. Each participating government entity is required to select a specific service or operational project for Agentic AI deployment within 90 days and proceed through the three phases of "Explore, Design, Implement." During this cycle, project deployment will be subject to regular monitoring to ensure launch within the specified timeframe.

Selection criteria include operational volume and frequency, annual transaction count, number of beneficiaries, and the nature of beneficiaries. Additionally, the criteria encompass transformation readiness, availability of up-to-date data, levels of automation and output, and the anticipated impact on customer satisfaction, service quality, and cost efficiency. The workshop also introduced the next-phase government work model, presented by Mohamed Rashid bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Knowledge Exchange and Services Center. He highlighted the capabilities of government teams in driving innovation and deploying Agentic AI, citing the UAE's consistent track record of translating strategic ambitions into practical execution. Aligned with the UAE's vision to transition half of government operations and services to Agentic AI within the next two years, the model aims to accelerate deployment by identifying priority services and operations, thereby supporting federal entities and ultimately enhancing government efficiency while ensuring maximum public impact.
