en.Wedoany.com Reported - Unity (ASX:UM1) has reported results from its latest drilling at the Rohav Mountain project in Cambodia, intersecting 5 meters at 1.8 grams per tonne gold from a depth of 196 meters. This drill hole is located approximately 150 meters southwest of the previously reported intercept of 23 meters at 0.9 g/t gold (including 6 meters at 1.9 g/t gold) from 120 meters depth.

This result further demonstrates that Rohav Mountain hosts a gold-bearing system associated with a wide altered diorite intrusion, with a geological setting related to Intrusion-Related Gold Systems (IRGS). Such systems may host large gold deposits, including the adjacent Okvau gold mine (located 2 kilometers to the north) operated by Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR).

Previous drilling at Rohav Mountain has identified stacked, shallow-dipping gold mineralization zones similar to Okvau, hosted within a highly altered diorite body exceeding 150 meters in width. The best intercepts at Rohav Mountain to date come from the highly altered diorite intrusion and surrounding hornfels, associated with sheeted and stockwork quartz-sulfide veins.

Previous pre-drilling results include 6 meters at 1.9 g/t gold and a high-grade interval of 1 meter at 7.9 g/t gold from 33 meters depth. The latest results further strengthen Unity's understanding of the potential of its flagship project. Recent geological mapping has identified multiple new stockwork quartz-sulfide vein zones within the diorite intrusion, with rock sampling currently underway.

Mapping and drill core logging, conducted in parallel with the company's large-scale geophysical surveys, also indicate that the diorite intrusion thickens as it extends northeastward beneath a basalt cover. To optimize future drill targets in these concealed areas, Unity has initiated drone magnetic and induced polarization geophysical surveys, aimed at tracing the intrusion and identifying new mineralization zones beneath the cover.

Unity Founder and Managing Director Craig Mackay stated that with the final results from the current drilling program at Rohav Mountain, the company now has a clearer understanding of the geometry and extent of the diorite, as well as the location of the strongest gold enrichment within and immediately adjacent to the diorite. These results build on new outcrops of mineralized diorite exposed along Unity's newly constructed drill access roads and new extensions of artisanal workings cutting the intrusion. The company now believes that gold mineralization at Rohav Mountain may strengthen to the northeast and extend beneath the basalt cover. They also believe the diorite intrusion thickens as it extends beneath the basalt, and are now awaiting results from ongoing geophysical surveys designed to identify new drill targets under the basalt.

Unity has now completed its pre-drilling program at the Ngot area, with a total of 50 drill holes for 8,238 meters. Assay results from three drill holes (located at the Ngot NE and Srolao prospects) have yet to be released, with Ngot NE being the prospect closest to the Okvau gold mine.
