en.Wedoany.com Reported - German renewable energy developer MaxSolar has selected Entrix to optimize and commercially operate a 20 MW/100 MWh battery energy storage system in Unterschneidbach, Bavaria. The five-hour duration project is currently being developed for distribution network operator N-Ergie, aiming to provide grid support services to the local power grid.

The battery storage system in Unterschneidbach, near Ansbach, will operate entirely on a commercial basis. Entrix employs an AI-powered trading strategy to balance commercial returns with grid demands. MaxSolar stated that this is the second grid-supporting battery storage system it has developed on behalf of a German distribution network operator. The company is also constructing a similar project within Bayernwerk's network area in Bavaria.

In the solar sector, MaxSolar has commissioned a 76 MW solar park in Ammerdingen, Bavaria. This subsidy-free project covers approximately 70% of its electricity generation through long-term power purchase agreements, with the remaining power sold via direct market trading. The solar facility is built on land owned by Princess Camilla zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and consists of nearly 127,000 solar modules installed on a 51-hectare site.
