India's RSDCL Invites Expression of Interest for Battery Energy Storage System at 680 MW Solar Park
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rajasthan Solarpark Development Company Limited (RSDCL), a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation, has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) inviting enterprises to set up a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the 680 MW Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan. The project aims to utilize idle transmission capacity during non-solar hours. The selected developer will implement the project under a developer-led model, with RSDCL providing land and infrastructure support, and the concession period is 15 years.
The selected developer will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including system design, financing, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the BESS facility. The developer will own the BESS assets during the concession period and undertake operation and maintenance for 15 years. Additionally, the developer must handle grid integration, regulatory compliance, performance monitoring and reporting, and enjoy full commercial flexibility to operate the project during the concession period. The deadline for submitting responses is July 14, 2026.
Previously, in January 2026, RSDCL had issued a tender for the development of 2,450 MW solar projects and a 1,600 MW/6,400 MWh BESS.
