en.Wedoany.com Reported - South Korean Deep Learning Company (CEO Kim Ji-hyun) announced on the 24th that it has been selected for the "Pre-ICON" startup support program by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund.
The Pre-ICON program is operated by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, which selects companies after a comprehensive evaluation of their technological capabilities, market potential, and growth potential. Selected companies will receive up to KRW 7 billion in guarantee support and customized non-financial benefits over three years. As a preparatory stage for entering the higher-level "Innovation ICON" program, companies that are later selected for Innovation ICON can additionally receive up to KRW 20 billion in linked guarantee support.
South Korean Deep Learning Company is developing and operating an AI agent platform called "Deep Agent," which can understand, verify documents, and execute related tasks. Unlike traditional Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology that focuses on text recognition, Deep Agent integrates document classification, core information extraction, verification, and business system linkage into an automated process.
Deep Agent is equipped with "Deep OCR," which specializes in visual element recognition, and "Deep Parser," which excels at analyzing complex document structures. This enables diverse documents—including contracts with seals and signatures, and reports containing tables and charts—to be converted into AI-processable formats.
Deep Parser achieved the highest overall score (76.4 points) in the Visual Language Model (VLM) category of the global document parsing benchmark "ParseBench," surpassing commercial models from major tech companies such as Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT-5.5. Following its achievement of ranking first globally in the English category of "OCRBench v2" (a global multimodal OCR benchmark) in March this year, the company has once again achieved outstanding results in the document AI field.
Kim Ji-hyun, CEO of South Korean Deep Learning Company, stated: "The document AI market is rapidly shifting from simple recognition to business automation. At this turning point, South Korean Deep Learning has been developing technologies that can operate in real-world settings, and this selection confirms that our direction is correct. We will accelerate our efforts to make Deep Agent the standard for document automation."
