en.Wedoany.com Reported - French sovereign cloud and artificial intelligence provider Scaleway (a subsidiary of the Iliad Group) recently announced that it has been selected by several well-known French enterprises, including MAIF (insurance), LVMH (luxury goods), Ouest-France (media), and ChapsVision (data intelligence). These companies are leveraging European cloud infrastructure to enhance data sovereignty, optimize cost control, and accelerate AI projects. Additionally, customer relationship management company Odigo, video AI company Orasio, and health sector enterprise ADLIN Science have joined this ecosystem, with ADLIN Science participating in France's first AI-enhanced hospital project. Scaleway noted that adopting European cloud has become a strategic choice for enterprises focused on data and cost control, reducing technological dependency, and accelerating innovation roadmaps. The company also announced partnerships with AI processor designer VSORA, AI inference software company ZML, and the Île-de-France region (Région Île-de-France), aiming to provide European AI inference solutions based on the French processor Jotunn8 as a complement to existing GPU solutions.

Scaleway (Iliad) signs multiple well-known French enterprises to accelerate cloud, AI, and quantum computing deployment

In research, Scaleway showcased the initial results of collaborations with GENCI (France's national high-performance computing facility, coordinating French public supercomputers) and CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), aimed at simplifying the transition of AI projects from research to production deployment. Approximately ten projects have already benefited from this bridge between public computing and private cloud, including RATP's open-source AI model Sillon. This model was trained on GENCI's supercomputers and subsequently deployed on Scaleway's infrastructure to analyze passenger information and detect potential signs of distress or emergencies. Furthermore, Scaleway has enriched its quantum cloud platform through French quantum processor expert Quobly. Quobly's simulator, Alloy Pioneer, is now available on the company's Quantum as a Service platform, with a physical quantum computer expected to be launched by the end of 2026.
