en.Wedoany.com Reported - Poland's Orlen and Ukraine's Naftogaz recently signed two cooperation agreements aimed at deepening collaboration in key areas to ensure Ukraine's energy security.

Poland

The first agreement aims to expand cooperation in the LNG sector, initiating analytical work on expanding LNG trade between the two companies.

Orlen stated that the agreement involves the joint or coordinated use of regasification and transportation infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region and Central and Eastern Europe, while also including the search for logistics and commercial solutions that facilitate LNG deliveries to Ukraine, enhance supply source flexibility, and strengthen energy security for Ukraine and the entire region.

The two companies signed a cooperation agreement in March 2025, under which Orlen delivered LNG cargoes to the FSRU terminal in Klaipėda, Lithuania, and the terminal in Świnoujście, Poland. In November 2025, Orlen agreed to supply Naftogaz with an additional three LNG cargoes from the United States in the first quarter of 2026, equivalent to over 300 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas.

Naftogaz recently booked long-term regasification capacity at the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) LNG import facility in Klaipėda, operated by KN Energies. This marks Naftogaz's first long-term LNG regasification capacity in Europe, enabling it to use the Klaipėda LNG terminal from 2033 to 2044.
