Biomethane Plant

Under the Reidi regime, contributions to PIS/Pasep and Cofins related to the procurement, leasing, and import of goods and services for the project will be suspended for a five-year period. Without this benefit, the project's estimated value was R$490.6 million. After qualifying for the regime, the amount dropped to R$449.06 million, representing a tax saving of R$41.54 million.

The project included in Reidi involves the construction of a biogas purification plant to produce biomethane from household solid waste. The plant has a capacity of 220,000 Nm³/day, divided into two modules, each with a capacity of 110,000 Nm³/day. The project uses Pressure Swing Adsorption technology to increase methane concentration to approximately 96%, meeting the specifications of Brazil's National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

The biomethane produced by the Maracanã project will be injected into the natural gas distribution network in the state of São Paulo. The execution period for this asset under Reidi is valid until April 15, 2028.

Additionally, the National Secretariat for Energy Transition and Planning of Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy has determined the physical guarantee amounts for the Seriemas 1 to 8 photovoltaic plants (UFVs), the Riacho I and II photovoltaic plants (UFVs), the Sítio Grande small hydropower plant (PCH), and the Filgueira I and II wind farms. These amounts range between 7.6 MW average and 22.3 MW average. The secretariat also revoked the energy physical guarantee and monthly energy availability amounts for the Caldeira 6 Kairós thermal power plant (UTE), located in the municipality of Sengés, Paraná state. The relevant resolutions were published in the Federal Official Gazette this week.
