en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 29, SAEL Industries commenced construction of an integrated solar manufacturing facility in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The solar factory, developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary SAEL Solar P6 Pvt Ltd, is located in Sector 8 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority in Gautam Buddha Nagar, covering approximately 200 acres. It plans to establish 5GW of solar cell and 5GW of solar module production capacity.

Upon completion, the solar factory will produce TOPCon solar cells and solar modules, serving India's domestic photovoltaic manufacturing and new energy supply chain needs. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. SAEL stated that the Jewar project will create new capacity aligned with India's solar manufacturing demand and drive the development of supporting industries and regional infrastructure.

The SAEL solar factory is part of India's efforts to expand domestic photovoltaic manufacturing capabilities. As demand for utility-scale photovoltaic projects and distributed solar grows, the importance of solar cells, solar modules, and related manufacturing processes has further increased. The project's subsequent progress will depend on factory construction, equipment installation, production line commissioning, and mass production arrangements.
