en.Wedoany.com Reported - Jeep brand only mentioned the Wrangler Scrambler, a pickup smaller than the Gladiator, during the Stellantis new industrial plan presentation, raising questions about the adequacy of its product lineup planning. In a subsequent online meeting, brand executives specifically showcased three new models for the European market, completing its product update roadmap through 2030.

Jeep's New Developments Through 2030

Currently, Jeep's only models on sale in Europe are the Avenger and Compass. The all-electric off-road vehicle Recon is scheduled to arrive in early 2027, replacing the Wrangler's position. The Wrangler is expected to exit the European market by the end of 2026, with the brand confirming it is unlikely to return due to safety and emissions regulations, and will not be included in the European new model list until related issues are resolved. Therefore, the Recon will form a three-model lineup with two other new vehicles, with further expansion plans yet to be announced.

Jeep will add two new compact SUVs (B-SUV), positioned similarly to the Avenger but slightly larger—the Avenger measures 4.10 meters in length, while the new models are expected to be around 4.20 meters. The brand describes them as "B-SUV Compact" and "B-SUV Large," believing there is no risk of overlap, with each likely having distinct styling and purpose. One of them is likely to adopt the name of the discontinued Renegade, which ended production in Europe at the end of 2025. The new models will be built on Stellantis' new multi-energy platform STLA One, compatible with gasoline, pure electric, and a new full hybrid powertrain based on a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.

Jeep's New Developments Through 2030

The third new model is a mid-size SUV (D-SUV), developed by Jeep in collaboration with Dongfeng, with the partnership announced a few weeks ago. This model will be developed and produced in China, targeting both domestic and global markets. The brand emphasizes that it is a true Jeep, featuring in-house design and engineering, sharing a platform with other Dongfeng models rather than being a simple rebadge. In terms of powertrain, it will adopt a multi-energy system, equipped with electrified and pure electric drivetrains.

All three new models will offer four-wheel drive and retain Jeep's classic design and driving tuning DNA. Regarding production locations, the mid-size SUV is confirmed to be produced in China; the brand has not yet announced specific production sites for the other two compact SUVs but mentioned the Industrial Acceleration Act, a European legislative proposal aimed at bringing production back to Europe and reducing industrial dependence on other regions.
