en.Wedoany.com Reported - Karl Roll has introduced the new Focus closed-loop solvent cleaning system for industrial parts cleaning. Designed for processes with limited cleaning volumes but stringent cleanliness requirements, the system balances high cleanliness with controlled energy and resource consumption.

A new focus for cost-effective solvent cleaning

Parts cleaning is under pressure from changing manufacturing methods. Companies need to frequently switch between small-batch products while meeting increasingly stringent cleanliness specifications, requiring cleaning equipment to deliver repeatable results with both economy and efficiency.

The Focus features a compact layout with a small footprint, requiring only a standard industrial power supply and compressed air connection. The system operates under full vacuum conditions and can use hydrocarbons or modified alcohols as solvents. The working chamber accommodates maximum load dimensions of 565 x 365 x 250 mm, with a weight of no more than 50 kg.

This is a plug-and-play solution that integrates the key functions required for demanding cleaning applications. The equipment is equipped with two solvent tanks, each with its own independent media circulation circuit and bypass filtration; when cleanliness requirements are particularly high, one tank can be used for pre-cleaning and the other for fine cleaning, or one tank can be used for corrosion protection or preservation treatment. Two high-performance pumps ensure rapid evacuation of the working chamber, reducing cycle times.

The system features built-in ultrasonic cleaning capability, with frequency adjustable to customer conditions. The loading aid is ergonomically designed, balancing operational safety and convenience; it supports upgrades for automatic loading/unloading modules and offers an optional barcode scanning system for unmanned operation and enhanced process traceability.

Operating cost control has been integrated throughout the development process. Components such as vacuum pumps, heaters, and discharge pumps have been specially selected to strike a balance between performance and energy consumption. Like other Karl Roll solvent cleaning systems, the Focus is equipped with an integrated distillation unit that continuously processes and regenerates the solvent; an automatic oil discharge system continuously removes oil separated during distillation, preventing residual oil from contaminating the solvent, thereby extending cleaning media service life and reducing operating costs.

Heat generated by the distillation unit is recovered, and all heating media are effectively insulated, both contributing to improved energy efficiency. Particulate contaminants separated during the cleaning process are captured by a dedicated filtration system. To prevent solvent escape during manual filter cartridge replacement, the system offers an optional automatic lid locking system that keeps the filter housing sealed throughout the replacement process.

The Focus retains only the functions essential for meeting strict cleanliness requirements, achieving cost- and resource-efficient operation in low-volume cleaning applications. Its combination of performance, economy, and reliability makes it suitable for high-quality cleaning of small to medium-sized parts.
