en.Wedoany.com Reported - Miramar Resources has doubled the gold exploration target for its Gidji Joint Venture (JV) Project, located approximately 15 kilometers north of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia (WA). The revised estimate is based on recent drilling results from multiple target areas, including Marylebone, Blackfriars, Powerline, Highway, and Railway, reflecting actual drilling and assay data.

The latest exploration target is based on the company's partial drilling data, including 939 air-core holes (totaling 53,362 meters), 26 reverse circulation (RC) holes (totaling 4,007 meters), and one diamond drill hole (190.75 meters). Miramar also utilized historical drilling data. Due to limited recent drilling activity, the updated estimate does not account for areas such as 8 Mile, Boorara North, Lake, or Claypan.

The average drill spacing is 100 meters by 50 meters, expanding to 400 meters by 100 meters in some locations. Air-core drill hole depths range from 11 meters to 108 meters, with an average depth of 56 meters. Since August 2021, Miramar has adjusted its sampling procedures to reduce contamination from overlying paleochannel sediments.

The company believes there are further opportunities to discover additional gold mineralization through deeper drilling into primary bedrock structures and by exploring areas beyond the currently defined paleochannels. Subsequent plans for the site include commissioning a resource geologist to define a mineral resource compliant with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Code and preparing a mineralization report for potential mining lease applications.

Miramar Managing Director Marion Bush stated that this update is based on actual drilling and assay data, with the gold exploration target at Gidji more than doubling, and further potential identified in areas where little to no deep drilling has been conducted to date. This provides reason to believe there may be significant potential for an initial mineral resource estimate, and the company is working with resource geologists to review the drilling data.

The Gidji Joint Venture (JV) Project, in which Miramar holds an 80% interest, is one of three projects operated by the company in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The site extends approximately 15 kilometers along the Boorara Shear Zone, which is associated with multiple gold deposits and extends in both directions. In October last year, the company completed a binding sale agreement for its Randalls Project, located approximately 70 kilometers east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
