en.Wedoany.com Reported - Gericke, a Swiss powder processing company, has enhanced the conveying stability and process controllability of powders, granules, flakes, and other materials in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and mineral industries through a combination of its modular dense phase pneumatic conveying system and the GUC-C pneumatic conveying controller. The system is characterized by low conveying speed and a high material-to-air ratio, transporting materials gently within closed pipelines, thereby reducing the impact on bulk density and particle size distribution while avoiding segregation.

The pressure vessel features a design with no rotating internal parts, reducing maintenance costs and eliminating the risk of metal contamination. The fully enclosed structure prevents gas and dust leakage, supports a pressure range of 1 to 6 barg, and offers a high material-to-air ratio with low gas consumption, contributing to improved energy efficiency and reduced operating costs.

The system supports conveying distances of up to 500 meters, with a maximum conveying capacity of 150 cubic meters per hour. The pressure vessel volume ranges from 20 to 5200 liters, available in carbon steel or stainless steel, and is designed in compliance with standards such as PED 2014/68/EU, ASME, and GB 150.

Gericke offers three dense phase conveying modes to accommodate different material characteristics and process requirements. The PHF conveying system uses a continuous stratified flow method with an operating gas velocity of 15 to 25 m/s; the PTA conveying system uses a pulsed plug flow method with an operating gas velocity of 4 to 12 m/s; the PTA PL system is equipped with external air boosters based on low gas velocity, suitable for long-distance conveying. These modes can cover applications such as conveying finished products after spray drying, conveying mixed products from mixers to filling lines, direct feeding of reactors, and also for inert gas conveying of explosive powders.

The GUC-C pneumatic conveying controller relies on a high-speed signal processing chip and control algorithms, supporting multi-terminal operation via a local HMI, browser, tablet, or remote access. The system can operate independently or be integrated into PLC or SCADA systems through mainstream industrial buses, featuring permission management, operation log recording, and configuration backup with quick restoration.

Gericke's test center supports customer material conveying tests, simulating actual production environments for industrial-scale testing to reduce project implementation risks and shorten commissioning cycles.

In 2008, Gericke established Gericke Powder Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., providing one-stop services including engineering design, automation systems, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and after-sales support for the Chinese market.
