The conference was jointly organized by the Mining Academic Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals, Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., and the National Engineering Research Center for Metal Mining, with the theme of "Green, Intelligent, Low-Carbon."

Academician Wu Qiang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a keynote report titled "Challenges and Countermeasures for High-Quality Development of the Mining Industry," systematically elaborating on the path to high-quality mining development and analyzing five major industry challenges: resource exploration, occupational health, mineral three rates, efficiency transformation, and green development. Pan Dong, Party Secretary and General Manager of Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd., stated in his address that backfill mining is a core driver for green mine construction, and the state has explicitly required that newly built underground mines prioritize the use of backfill mining methods.

The conference focused on three technical objectives: "solid waste resource utilization, intelligent backfilling, and ecological mining areas," and conducted academic exchanges and discussions covering the entire backfill mining industry chain, including fundamental theories, advanced materials, intelligent equipment, low-carbon technologies, disaster prevention and control, and ecological restoration. An intelligent backfill equipment exhibition was also held concurrently with the conference.

This conference provided an important platform for exchanging innovations in backfill mining technology, contributing positively to promoting the resource utilization of mine solid waste and green, low-carbon development.
