en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Masteel Luohe Mine recently achieved successful heavy-load commissioning of its technical renovation project for recovering iron and sulfur from dry-discarded waste rock, marking the completion of the project's phased construction tasks. The project focuses on solid waste resource utilization, using photoelectric intelligent sorting machines as the core technology. Based on ore density differences and using wind energy as the sorting medium, it efficiently enriches iron and sulfur elements from dry-discarded waste rock.

Since construction began in December 2025, the site faced multiple challenges, including limited working space, tight construction schedules, and cross-trade operations. Luohe Mine innovatively implemented a "three-in-one" management model integrating safety, quality, and progress, coordinating the efforts of construction, supervision, and construction parties for unified scheduling. The project was completed in 154 days.

All operating parameters and product indicators met standards during this commissioning. The TFe grade in waste rock was increased to 41%, and the Ss grade was enriched to 13%. After production, while boosting the output of iron concentrate and sulfur concentrate, it is expected to increase annual profits by 8 million yuan. Next, Luohe Mine will continue optimizing production process parameters and steadily advance the project toward formal production and operation.

This project has opened an efficient recovery channel for valuable elements in mine waste rock, providing strong support for building a "tailings-free mine" and achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
