I. Overall Operation

In the first five months, China's software business revenue reached 6.2451 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. The total profit of the software industry was 717.3 billion yuan, up 2.2% year-on-year. Software business exports amounted to 27.65 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%.

II. Operation by Segment

Software product revenue grew steadily. In the first five months, software product revenue reached 1.3608 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%, accounting for 21.8% of the total industry revenue. Among this, basic software product revenue was 80.9 billion yuan, up 10.0% year-on-year; industrial software product revenue was 123.7 billion yuan, up 8.6% year-on-year.

Information technology service revenue maintained double-digit growth. In the first five months, information technology service revenue reached 4.2761 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.3%, accounting for 68.5% of the total industry revenue. Among this, cloud computing and big data services achieved combined revenue of 703.2 billion yuan, up 12.1% year-on-year, accounting for 16.4% of information technology service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue was 175.9 billion yuan, up 19.2% year-on-year; e-commerce platform technical service revenue was 459.1 billion yuan, up 5.1% year-on-year.

Information security revenue and embedded system software revenue grew steadily. In the first five months, information security products and services revenue was 110.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. Embedded system software revenue was 497.9 billion yuan, up 12.5% year-on-year.

III. Operation by Region

In the first five months, software business revenue in the eastern, central, western, and northeastern regions increased by 10.5%, 12.9%, 8.8%, and 5.9% year-on-year, respectively. The software business revenue of the eastern region accounted for 84.7% of the national total. Software business revenue in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region increased by 9.9% year-on-year, and in the Yangtze River Delta region by 11.6% year-on-year, with these two regions accounting for 26.1% and 30.6% of the national total, respectively. Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Shandong ranked among the top five in software business revenue, with year-on-year increases of 10.0%, 10.7%, 12.1%, 11.0%, and 8.6%, respectively.
