en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ilkari has acquired DC North, entering the European data center market. The multinational sovereign infrastructure provider has incorporated Croatian data center operator DC North into its European operations, expanding its infrastructure footprint in the European Union and complementing its existing operations in Iceland and Colombia.

Through DC North, Ilkari deepens its involvement in the EU infrastructure market, particularly in data sovereignty and regulated industries. DC North will be integrated into the company's infrastructure platform, which combines domain services, hosting, and sovereign cloud services.

According to a press release from Ilkari, DC North operates a 4 MW carrier-neutral data center in Varaždin, 70 kilometers north of Zagreb, Croatia. The facility primarily serves organizations with strict requirements for European regulatory, operational, and data sovereignty compliance. The data center provides direct access to internet exchange points in Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia, enabling low-latency connectivity across Central Europe. By operational power capacity, it is one of the largest carrier-neutral data centers in Croatia, with room for future expansion.

Shane Paterson, CEO of Ilkari, stated: "European organizations are reassessing where critical infrastructure is operated, how data is governed, and how to ensure operational resilience in a complex digital environment. The integration of DC North strengthens our presence in Europe and enhances our ability to support clients who require resilient and sovereign-compliant infrastructure within the EU."

The facility holds Uptime Tier III Design and Facility certifications, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, and ISO 22301 certifications. It also complies with PCI DSS standards and adheres to the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), which sets ICT resilience and risk management requirements for financial services and other regulated industries.

During the transition period, the existing on-site management, operations, and technical teams will remain in place and gradually integrate into Ilkari's broader European operations platform.
