Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 11, Italy-based solar module manufacturer FuturaSun has unveiled a new n-type solar panel, the Silk Nova Silver, with a maximum power output of 390 W. Designed for seamless integration into modern architecture, the panel is ideal for grey roofs and contemporary buildings.

A FuturaSun spokesperson explained: “Silver-colored modules have many areas of application where an integration of photovoltaics into the architecture is necessary.” The panel’s sleek design, featuring silver-coated 3.2 mm thick glass and a varnished anodized aluminum frame, enhances its aesthetic appeal for such settings.

The Silk Nova Silver achieves a power conversion efficiency of 19.52% and has a temperature coefficient of -0.29%/C. It incorporates 96 monocrystalline half-cut MBB n-type cells, each measuring 182 x 105 mm. The IP68-rated module measures 1,762 mm x 1,134 mm x 30 mm and weighs 21.3 kg. It is built to withstand snow loads up to 3,600 Pa and wind loads up to 1,600 Pa, using a composite multilayer film as a backsheet for durability.

FuturaSun offers a 15-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty, with a maximum power decrease of 0.4% per year starting from the second year. The panel’s junction box complies with IEC 62790 standards, ensuring reliability.

The company highlighted a notable project, stating: “Our silver modules have become famous also thanks to the installation at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. 300 meticulously integrated silver modules are now supporting the energy saving of the museum, fully covering the lighting needs of the exhibition galleries.” This installation showcases the panel’s ability to blend functionality with architectural harmony.

The Silk Nova Silver is designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions that complement modern design. Its robust construction and high efficiency make it suitable for diverse applications, from commercial buildings to cultural institutions. FuturaSun’s latest offering reinforces its commitment to advancing solar technology while prioritizing environmental and aesthetic considerations.

This launch marks another step in Italy’s efforts to expand renewable energy options. The panel’s versatility and performance are expected to attract interest from architects and developers seeking sustainable yet visually appealing solutions.
