en.Wedoany.com Reported - Qualitas Energy has secured contracts for three onshore wind projects in Germany's May auction round, with a total capacity of 113.2 megawatts, further expanding the investment platform's business scale in the German wind power market.

The three projects are located in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony, installing a total of 16 wind turbines. Once operational, the expected electricity generation could meet the needs of approximately 75,000 households. This auction continued to show severe oversubscription: the tendered capacity was 2,495 MW, and the Federal Network Agency received 628 bids with a total bid capacity of 6,409 MW, more than two and a half times the available capacity. Ultimately, 270 bids were awarded, with a total awarded capacity of 2,499 MW. The awarded electricity prices ranged from 4.44 to 5.19 euro cents per kWh, with a capacity-weighted average price of 5.06 euro cents.

Johannes Overbeck, CEO of Qualitas Energy Deutschland, stated that winning 113 MW in a highly competitive auction reflects the platform's advantages, the team's execution capabilities, and a long-term commitment to the German market. He also noted that these projects will boost onshore wind construction and build a more resilient energy system.

Qualitas Energy holds over 100 wind projects in Germany, with a late-stage development pipeline of 3 GW and more than 1 GW under construction or in operation. Founded in 2006, the platform has invested over 14 billion euros globally in renewable energy, managing a total installed capacity of 11 GW across wind, solar, hydropower, energy storage, and biomethane projects in markets such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, and Poland. The continued oversubscription of German auctions indicates that competition for onshore wind capacity remains intense in the largest wind market in the Baltic region.
