en.Wedoany.com Reported - Alara Resources Limited (ASX: AUQ), an ASX-listed company, announced on July 1, 2026, that its Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold Project in the northeastern region of the Sultanate of Oman (Al Mudhaibi) has completed the 51st shipment of copper concentrate. The latest cargo comprises approximately 1,060 wet metric tonnes of copper concentrate, containing about 205 tonnes of copper. During the 2026 financial year (FY26), the project has cumulatively shipped approximately 39,287 wet metric tonnes of copper concentrate, containing about 7,230 tonnes of copper.
Alara Resources Limited is a metal producer and exploration company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Its operating Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold Project is managed by the joint venture Al Hadeetha Resources LLC (AHRL). In this joint venture, Alara Resources holds a 51% majority stake; other shareholders include Al Hadeetha Investment Services LLC, an Omani local investment company holding a 30% stake, and Al Tasnim Infrastructure LLC, a subsidiary of Oman's Al Tasnim Group, holding a 19% stake.
The mine is equipped with a processing plant designed with an annual capacity of 1 million tonnes. After being temporarily affected by historic rainfall in March 2026, the project's production run rate in May and June has stabilized above the designed capacity. The company stated that this strong operational performance is expected to drive the project to achieve its best financial year results since commencement. Additionally, the company confirmed that three additional cargoes have arrived at the Port of Sohar and are awaiting loading, expected to depart in early July 2026.
Alara Resources emphasized that stable production and logistics performance support its strategy to expand copper operations and create long-term value. Alara Resources Managing Director Atmavireshwar Sthapak stated that cumulative shipments of nearly 11,000 tonnes of copper metal fully demonstrate the asset's actual value and sustained growth potential. The company also indicated that its goal is to become a mid-tier mineral producer and continue exploration at other projects in Oman.
