en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lightning Minerals Ltd (ASX:L1M) Managing Director Troy Brice provided an update on the company's Mount Turner Gold Project in northern Queensland, Australia, where an independent petrological study by the University of New South Wales has confirmed that rhyolite intrusions host gold mineralization.

The study provides independent validation of Lightning Minerals' exploration model, supporting the company's view that the Mount Turner area may contain a large-scale regional gold system. Based on core samples selected from the company's 2025 diamond drilling program, the study found that gold mineralization is associated with rhyolite and dacite intrusions distributed along the 14-kilometer-long Drummer fault corridor.

Brice stated that these findings indicate a large-scale, long-lived mineralizing system rather than a series of isolated mineralized pockets. The results exceeded expectations, reinforcing the company's confidence that it is implementing the correct exploration plan and drilling in the right locations.

The company plans to use the petrological study results to refine exploration targets in preparation for the second phase of drilling, which is scheduled to begin in mid-July 2026. The second phase will lay the groundwork for a third phase of drilling in November and support the company's future mineral resource estimation.
