en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brixton Metals (TSX-V:BBB) has extended the mineralized zone by 20 meters to the west within the Glenfiddich block of the Thorn project in British Columbia, Canada.
Step-out drilling intersected a 14.75-meter mineralized interval at a depth of 84.25 meters, grading 1.25% copper, 1.71 g/t gold, and 149.0 g/t silver.
Drill hole THN26-372's intercept includes a higher-grade sub-interval: starting at 90.00 meters, 1.50 meters long, grading 8.33% copper, 11.30 g/t gold, and 971.0 g/t silver.
A second intercept in the same drill hole begins at a depth of 53.38 meters, yielding 6.12 meters grading 0.48% copper, 0.45 g/t gold, and 56.21 g/t silver, including 1.00 meter grading 2.24% copper, 1.22 g/t gold, and 249.0 g/t silver.
This drill hole is located 28 meters northwest of drill hole THN25-322, which previously intersected 16.00 meters grading 3.40 g/t gold, 96.08 g/t silver, and 0.59% copper.
Mineralization consists of quartz breccia containing sulfosalts, sphalerite, and galena, with trace chalcopyrite and covellite, hosted in sericite-pyrite altered diorite porphyry.
CEO Gary Thompson stated that the current drilling aims to extend the block both down-dip and along strike to inform and update the 2014 mineral resource estimate, while also targeting other near-surface vein-breccia mineralization within the Camp Creek corridor.
The company has completed seven drill holes totaling 1,736.5 meters in the target area, with assay results for the remaining holes pending. A second drill hole, THN26-371, has been drilled to a depth of 150 meters and is awaiting results.
This drilling campaign is designed to expand the northeast-trending mineralization identified in previous drilling to update the 2014 mineral resource estimate. The Glenfiddich block remains open along strike and down-dip.
The Thorn project covers an underexplored copper-gold porphyry district in northwestern British Columbia, with multiple large-scale exploration targets identified.
Brixton Metals is a Canadian exploration company advancing the Thorn copper-gold-silver project in British Columbia, with additional projects in Montana and Ontario, including the Hog Heaven project, which has been optioned to Ivanhoe Electric (NYSE:IE).
