en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has been selected as the main contractor for the Jabali Towers project within Kenya's Tatu City development, responsible for the construction of two new residential towers and office and retail spaces in the Tatu Central area.

Located in Kiambu County, Kenya, Tatu City is a 5,000-acre mixed-use Special Economic Zone (SEZ) owned and developed by African company Rendeavour. The project, with a total gross floor area of 88,000 square meters, will construct two residential towers of 25 and 36 stories respectively, along with a 150-room hotel, 35 retail units, and Grade A office space. 75% of units in Tower A have been pre-sold to Kenyan and international investors, with apartments starting at 9.7 million Kenyan shillings ($74,500). The project offers studio to three-bedroom apartments, complemented by amenities such as a fitness center, infinity pool, wellness facilities, co-working spaces, landscaped gardens, and public plazas.

CRBC operates across Africa, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. In Kenya, the company is involved in several large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Talanta Sports City Stadium built for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Stephen Jennings, Founder and CEO of Rendeavour, stated: "The groundbreaking of Jabali Towers is a clear demonstration of our commitment to delivering on our promises. At Tatu City, quality is non-negotiable and drives every decision we make. We go to great lengths to find partners and suppliers, both locally and globally, who share our insistence on high standards of execution. The appointment of CRBC reflects this commitment. Jabali Towers is another step towards building a city of lasting value for Kenya and future generations."

The project benefits from over 15 years of investment in site infrastructure, including reliable water and electricity supply, high-speed internet, and an expanded road network. The development will also feature pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, lakes, green spaces, and a wildlife sanctuary scheduled to open by the end of 2026. Jabali Towers is expected to create over 2,000 jobs during both construction and operational phases, generating economic opportunities for Kiambu County and the wider region.
