en.Wedoany.com Reported - Air connectivity in Reynosa has been strengthened with Volaris launching new daily flights to Guadalajara. This route not only facilitates travel between the two cities but also allows passengers to connect to dozens of domestic and international destinations via Guadalajara without needing to transit through Mexico City.

This operation offers new opportunities for the business community, manufacturing sector, tourism industry, and travelers moving between northern Tamaulipas and western Mexico, connecting Reynosa with one of the country's main aviation hubs.
During the inaugural ceremony, Nancy Garaviz, Volaris' Market Development Manager, stated that the Reynosa–Guadalajara route connects two very important regions: the industrial and manufacturing north with Guadalajara, which is among the most significant both domestically and internationally.
The benefits of the flight extend far beyond direct transportation. From Guadalajara, passengers can connect to Volaris' routes to 29 cities in South America, Central America, and the United States, no longer requiring a stopover in Mexico City.
From Guadalajara, Reynosa passengers can access Volaris' extensive destination network, as well as flights operated by other airlines to Canada, Europe, and other international markets, making this Jalisco city a gateway to these destinations.
This route is part of Volaris' national expansion, with the airline having launched 35 new routes in 2026. Additionally, the carrier celebrates 20 years of operations, during which it has transported over 280 million passengers.
Garaviz emphasized that the success of this new connection will depend on passenger response, support from the productive sector, and the consolidation of the route. She expressed hope to continue connecting Mexico, democratizing the skies, and exploring new opportunities, but stressed the need to consolidate the routes already launched.
Greater air connectivity will bring benefits to economic development, tourism, and local economies.
The new route increases departure capacity from Reynosa by 22%. With the addition of Volaris' daily flights, weekly departures from Reynosa International Airport have increased from approximately 32 to 39, boosting flight capacity by nearly 22%.
Current commercial routes from Reynosa include: Mexico City (AICM) with 14 weekly flights operated by Aeromexico; Guadalajara with 14 weekly flights (two daily) operated by Viva Aerobus and Volaris; Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with 5 weekly flights operated by Viva Aerobus; Cancun with 3 weekly flights operated by Viva Aerobus; and Veracruz with 3 weekly flights operated by Viva Aerobus.
With this new connection, Guadalajara becomes one of the most frequent destinations from Reynosa, strengthening the integration of northern Tamaulipas with one of the country's main economic, industrial, and logistics centers.
