en.Wedoany.com Reported - Navigo annual pass users can transfer their subscription to compatible Android smartphones starting July 2, allowing them to tap their phones at ticket gates for validation. Previously, single tickets, day passes, weekly passes, monthly passes, and the Liberté+ subscription had already gone digital, but the annual pass still relied on a physical card.

In this feature rollout, Android devices are ahead of Apple. Compatible phones must run Android 8 or higher and support NFC. The feature will be deployed gradually, with iPhone availability expected by September. The Navigo Annuel Senior pass, for eligible passengers aged 62 and over, can be transferred immediately. Holders of the Imagine R subscription will need to wait longer, with mobile compatibility expected only after the 2027 back-to-school season.

The transfer process must be completed within the Île-de-France Mobilités application. Users need to log into their account, open the "My Space" tab, and select "Transfer my Navigo Annual Pass." The app will use NFC to require the physical card to be held near the back of the phone to verify contract eligibility, and may also require a photo for inspection purposes. Once the transfer is complete, the subscription is loaded onto the smartphone, and the physical card will be deactivated.
