en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vietnam Airlines has launched a direct flight route from Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket, Thailand, bringing the airline's weekly flights between Vietnam and Thailand to nearly 70.

The route commenced operations coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand. The direct Ho Chi Minh City-Phuket route operates four flights per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The outbound flight departs Ho Chi Minh City at 4:00 PM local time and arrives in Phuket at 5:50 PM; the return flight departs Phuket at 6:45 PM and lands in Ho Chi Minh City at 8:55 PM.

Via the Ho Chi Minh City hub, passengers from Phuket can further connect to Vietnam Airlines' route network in Northeast Asia, Europe, and Australia. Since the beginning of 2026, Vietnam Airlines has successively launched and announced new international routes to Amsterdam (Netherlands), Colombo (Sri Lanka), and Phuket (Thailand), while increasing flight frequencies on multiple routes such as Singapore, Manila, Moscow, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, and Sydney, to meet the demands of passenger travel and business exchanges.
