en.Wedoany.com Reported - Plenergy has opened a new gas station in Penafiel, Portugal, increasing its total number of operational stations in the country to 16. This opening strengthens the low-cost fuel operator's presence in the Greater Porto region, which now hosts eight stations.

Located on the Cavalum branch road, adjacent to Nortenha Pneus & Serviços, the new station features two refueling islands capable of serving four vehicles simultaneously. During the opening period, fuel prices are set at €1.699 per liter for standard diesel and €1.789 per liter for standard 95-octane gasoline, approximately 10% lower than the regional average.
"The opening of this new station marks another step forward in our growth plan for the Portuguese market," said Tiago Preguiça, Country Manager for Plenergy Portugal. "With 16 operational stations now in place, it shows that the brand is gaining widespread recognition among Portuguese consumers."
Plenergy is also developing new stations in locations such as Palmela, Almada, Guimarães, and Castelo Branco. The company expects to have 30 active stations in Portugal by the end of 2026. In the Iberian market, Plenergy's network has exceeded 400 stations, with a target of reaching 500 by 2027. Stations operate 24/7 with automated systems and offer manned service during daytime hours. The operator guarantees that fuel is supplied by major Iberian oil companies. Founded in 2015, Plenergy positions itself as a leader in the low-cost fuel station segment in Iberia. In addition to fuel, its stations also provide electric vehicle charging points.
