en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canada is advancing multiple crude oil export pipeline projects that, combined, could increase the country's export pipeline capacity by 2.25 million barrels per day by 2035. As the world's fourth-largest oil producer, Canada hopes to better meet global crude demand and move closer to Prime Minister Mark Carney's goal of becoming an "energy superpower."

According to available project data, at least six pipeline projects are currently approved or proposed. Among them, the Enbridge Mainline Phase One Optimization has a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day, is approved, and is scheduled to come online in 2027; the Trans Mountain Drag-Reducing Agent project has a capacity of 90,000 barrels per day, is approved, and is scheduled for 2027; the Enbridge Mainline Optimization Phase Two has a capacity of 250,000 barrels per day, is in the proposed stage with no set commissioning date; the Trans Mountain Mainline Optimization has a capacity of 210,000 barrels per day, is proposed, and is scheduled for 2028; the South Bow/Bridger Prairie Connector pipeline has a capacity of 550,000 barrels per day, is proposed, and is scheduled for 2028; and the Alberta West Coast Pipeline has a capacity of 1 million barrels per day, is proposed, with a target commissioning window of 2033 to 2034. The combined capacity of these six projects totals 2.25 million barrels per day.
