en.Wedoany.com Reported - Stellantis Group in Brazil plans to launch the Fiat Argo 2027 in the coming months, marking the beginning of a global model era for the brand. Based on the CMP platform, Fiat will develop the all-new Pulse, Fastback, and a next-generation compact pickup truck, the Strada.

The all-new Strada pickup is expected to hit the market between 2028 and 2029. Unlike the current model, which is based on the Mobi platform, the next-generation vehicle will transform into a sibling model of the Argo. This compact pickup will share the CMP platform with the Argo hatchback, along with components such as the front doors, hood, and fenders. To differentiate it from the compact car, the front fascia will feature a unique design.
From the side, the all-new Strada's body lines will align with the new Argo, but from the B-pillar onward, the pickup version will feature exclusive rear doors and a new cargo bed. Although it is visually a sibling of the Argo, its body structure will be reinforced to support cargo-carrying functions. The new model is expected to be similar in size to the current one, and production will continue at the Betim plant in Brazil. Fiat has no plans to modify the production line to accommodate larger vehicles, thereby controlling investment costs.
The next-generation Strada will offer single-cab and double-cab versions. In terms of interior, the door panel trims and dashboard will be shared with the new-generation Argo. Powertrain options include the 1.3-liter Firefly engine for the single-cab version, while the double-cab version will be equipped with the Turbo 200 engine and a 12-volt mild hybrid system.
In terms of safety features, the all-new Strada will see upgrades. The double-cab version will come standard with six airbags and will be equipped with driver assistance features including driver fatigue monitoring, automatic high-beam control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition. According to local media reports, the model currently lacks adaptive cruise control functionality.
