en.Wedoany.com Reported - Katoen Natie, the operator of the Cuenca del Plata Terminal (Terminal Cuenca del Plata, TCP), announced that the terminal has fully resumed operations. This return to normal operations follows the end of an indefinite strike by a workers' union, which was carried out in the form of a "spontaneous return to work."

Katoen Natie also issued a warning: "The situation remains unstable, and there are currently no fundamental changes. Therefore, the possibility of new measures later in the day cannot be ruled out. Should this occur, it will be immediately communicated publicly."

The company added: "According to our previous reports, the union made TCP's prior agreement to certain economic demands a condition for resuming dialogue. These demands are essentially matters for collective bargaining and should not serve as a prerequisite for initiating negotiations."

Katoen Natie emphasized: "The company cannot accept such proposals, which are not only impractical but also contrary to a responsible and honest negotiation process."

It is reported that this Belgian-capital company holds 80% of TCP's shares, while the Uruguayan state, through the National Port Administration (ANP), holds the remaining 20%. Currently, the company is negotiating a new collective agreement with the union, a process that has been repeatedly interrupted by partial strikes.
