Austria's PJM Expands WaggonTracker Production
en.Wedoany.com Reported - PJ Monitoring (PJM) is scaling up production of its WaggonTracker freight car monitoring system, incorporating digital work instructions and quality inspection processes in the new production line. Each WaggonTracker unit generates a digital record, supporting full lifecycle traceability.
Each system box must undergo comprehensive testing, including a mandatory 48-hour continuous automated endurance test before installation. The final commissioning phase uses tablets and QR codes for digital recording.
The modular production line design supports different projects with short changeover times. PJ Monitoring stated that production capacity can be further expanded as demand grows, but the company did not disclose current or planned output volumes.

WaggonTracker integrates automatic brake testing with freight car component monitoring, featuring real-time brake monitoring and load measurement.
PJ Monitoring CEO Günter Petschnig said: "Given the developments in recent years, expanding production capacity and quality standards is a logical step." He added that the company's customer base among wagon owners and leasing companies is continuously growing.
The company's original production workshop will be repurposed for development and prototyping. PJ Monitoring has also expanded its software and security development teams and added office space near its headquarters in Graz.
