en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Xiamen ITG Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Xiamen ITG Group Corp., Ltd., signed a contract with German shipowner Von Nordic Marine for the construction of 2+2+2 15,200 DWT multi-purpose vessels, which has officially taken effect.

The project was signed in May this year, and by the end of June, all conditions for the contract to take effect were fully met, marking its official implementation. According to the plan, the first vessel is expected to commence construction in March 2027 at Qinshi Jiamei Energy Technology (Nantong) Co., Ltd. This vessel type is an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly design carefully selected for the current niche market, featuring multi-cargo adaptability, high cargo hold utilization, and compliance with the latest emission regulations.

This project is a milestone for ITG Shipbuilding's newbuilding business, achieving a breakthrough in the self-operated order-taking model, signifying the company's full-chain leadership from the client side to the production side.

On the client side, the ITG Shipbuilding team independently completed shipowner development, commercial negotiations, contract signing, issuance of foreign exchange guarantees, and collection of progress payments, achieving a closed loop for the entire order acquisition process. On the production side, the team autonomously issued construction instructions to domestic Chinese shipyards, coordinated technical adaptations, and managed full-cycle project control. This practice has accumulated replicable core capabilities for subsequent batch order-taking and standardized operations in the newbuilding business.

Currently, ITG Shipbuilding is continuously deepening its vertical layout in the shipbuilding industry chain, accelerating its transformation and upgrade from a trading service provider to a full lifecycle project manager. In the future, the company will take this project as a starting point, continue to delve into niche segments such as multi-purpose vessels and specialized ships, collaborate with high-quality domestic and international shipowners and shipyard partners, expand new spaces for industrial synergy, and inject new momentum into high-quality business development.
