en.Wedoany.com Reported - MTS has expanded mobile network coverage in three microdistricts of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, including the Khummi Horticultural Non-Profit Partnership (СНТ Хумми), the town of Ogneuporny, and the town of Mendeleev. Over the past six months, mobile internet speeds in these areas have increased by 20%, while also improving "blind spots" with weak or unstable signals.

MTS specialists installed two new base stations in the Khummi microdistrict—a gardening area within the city—providing comprehensive coverage of high-speed mobile internet and voice calls for the horticultural non-profit partnership (СНТ). Another base station was deployed in the town of Ogneuporny, part of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur urban agglomeration, ensuring stable fourth-generation mobile internet coverage throughout the microdistrict. Residents of the town of Mendeleev also gained LTE network coverage, with new equipment installed in the Storozhevaya Street area.

MTS's modernization also enhanced signals in the areas of Lesozavodskaya Street, Shchors Street, Gagarin Street, and Pobeda Avenue, enabling the operator to handle loads during peak hours. These areas house important social facilities such as kindergartens, schools, and the Aviation Manufacturing College. The upgraded LTE network capacity is sufficient to meet the needs of these institutions, their employees, and street residents for stable internet and mobile communications.

Natalia Ekshenger (Наталья Экшенгер), Director of MTS in Khabarovsk Krai, stated: "Komsomolsk-on-Amur is the second-largest city in Khabarovsk Krai. We carried out a large-scale modernization here last year, stabilizing signals in offices, shopping centers, and residential buildings. Now we are eliminating 'blind spots' in the urban agglomeration, allowing residents of Ogneuporny, gardeners in Khummi, and students at the Aviation Manufacturing College to freely use digital services. As load grows, we precisely expand capacity where it is most needed."

Previously, spectrum refarming (рефарминг) was conducted in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, converting outdated 3G frequencies to fourth-generation internet. Through modernization, signal stability indoors—such as in offices, shopping centers, and residential buildings—has also improved, providing over 225,000 residents and city visitors with faster internet access.
