en.Wedoany.com Reported - Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI has officially been renamed SpaceXAI, five months after xAI merged with Musk's space company SpaceX. In May, Musk revealed the new name for the combined entity and clarified that xAI would no longer be an independent company under SpaceX. xAI announced the name change to SpaceXAI in a post on the X platform, along with a new logo. The company's account on social networks now displays the new name, while SpaceX retains a separate account to continue sharing updates on spacecraft design and launches.

When SpaceX acquired xAI in February, Musk stated that the global demand for electricity to power artificial intelligence cannot be met by ground-based solutions, and that moving resource-intensive data center operations to space is the only viable solution. SpaceXAI plans to build orbital data centers. Prior to the merger announcement, SpaceX had already submitted an application to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to launch one million satellites for constructing a space-based data center. xAI acquired X in 2025, meaning the social network now also falls under the SpaceXAI brand. SpaceX (along with xAI and X) went public in June, with a closing price of $161 per share and a market capitalization of $2.1 trillion. According to Stocktwits, although the new brand has not yet been reflected in official documents, the xAI website now displays the new logo and company name.
