Located in Heshan City, Jiangmen City, this project is a key construction project of Guangdong Province for 2026 and a key construction project of Heshan City for the "15th Five-Year Plan".

Li Yanzhuang, member of the Standing Committee of the Heshan Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Shaping Street Party Working Committee, and Political Instructor of the Armed Forces Department; Liang Zhanxing, Chairman and General Manager of Heshan Herui Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd.; and Xu Liai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Company, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Liang Zhanxing stated that the Herui energy storage project is a new-type energy storage power station project that Heshan City is prioritizing, and it has been included in the key construction projects of Guangdong Province for 2026. Once operational, it will enhance the peak-shaving and supply assurance capabilities of the regional power grid, with plans to achieve full-capacity grid connection by the end of October this year. He urged all participating parties to organize construction scientifically, strictly control project quality and safety, and build the project into a benchmark project featuring advanced technology, safe and reliable operation, and environmental friendliness.

Xu Liai stated that the Herui energy storage project is a key project for Heshan to improve energy security and support the "dual carbon" development. China Construction Third Engineering Bureau South China Company will adhere to the principles of safety first, quality-oriented, efficient performance, and green construction, allocate high-quality team resources, and collaborate with all parties for meticulous construction, aiming to create a benchmark energy storage demonstration project.

The Heshan Herui energy storage project covers an area of approximately 50 mu, with a planned construction scale of 250MW/500MWh. It is a key construction project of Guangdong Province for 2026 and a key construction project of Heshan City for the "15th Five-Year Plan". Upon completion, it will become a leading grid-side independent energy storage power station in the Jiangmen area, effectively strengthening regional energy infrastructure, enhancing the regulation capacity and energy security level of the regional power grid, and adding new momentum to the energy system upgrade and green, low-carbon development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is planned to achieve full-capacity grid-connected operation within the year.
