en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 5.276875MW distributed photovoltaic project at Yichang Taishan Gypsum, invested, designed, constructed, and maintained by Zhejiang Xiongchuang Microgrid, achieved full-capacity grid connection on July 6, 2026, entering the stable power generation phase. Starting construction on April 25, the project utilized efficient construction and multi-party coordinated acceptance to provide clean energy support for the energy transition and cost reduction of Yichang's building materials industry.

Located in the Yichang Taishan Gypsum plant area, the project utilizes idle rooftop space on production workshops and raw material warehouses, with a total installed capacity of 5.276875MW. This is another commercial and industrial photovoltaic demonstration project implemented by Xiongchuang Microgrid in Central China. The project is equipped with Xiongchuang's proprietary smart microgrid energy management platform, building an intelligent energy consumption system. Adopting a "self-consumption, surplus electricity fed into the grid" model, it can adapt to the high-load, continuous production demands of the building materials industry. Through intelligent scheduling to control energy consumption, the plant's green electricity consumption rate is improved, while rooftop waterproofing and multiple power security measures ensure the long-term stable operation of the power station.

After commissioning, the project can generate an average of 5.6 million kWh of clean electricity annually, effectively reducing industrial electricity costs for the enterprise. Ecologically, it saves 2,240 tons of standard coal and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by over 5,580 tons each year. By replacing traditional energy consumption with clean energy, it supports the green transformation of Yichang's building materials industry and the regional "dual carbon" goals. This grid connection marks progress for Xiongchuang Microgrid in the Central China comprehensive energy market. In the future, the company plans to continue focusing on commercial and industrial green energy upgrades, promoting photovoltaic and smart microgrid comprehensive solutions, and collaborating with more physical enterprises to drive green industrial development.
