en.Wedoany.com Reported - Bosch and the University of Minho have jointly launched a postgraduate program in Global Procurement and Supply Chain Management, scheduled to start in September 2026.

The program adopts a dual learning model, combining academic education with corporate practice. Students will attend classes at the University of Minho two days a week and spend the remaining three days interning at Bosch's plant in Braga. The program lasts ten months, and Bosch will provide each selected student with an annual scholarship of 7,090 euros.
The launch of this new program comes amid market volatility and supply chain restructuring, where companies need to enhance resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness. Bosch currently employs over 300 professionals in Braga, responsible for providing global services, including strategic activities in procurement and supplier management within the mobility business.
Bosch stated that procurement and supplier management teams play a key role in identifying strategic partners, mitigating risks, and creating value for the company, emphasizing the need to cultivate skills to adapt to increasingly complex supply chains. Ana Isabel Pereira, Human Resources Manager at Bosch Braga, noted that in a context where supply chain resilience has become a key factor in organizational competitiveness, investing in training professionals who can understand global challenges and turn this complexity into a competitive advantage is crucial.
Pereira believes that this postgraduate program strengthens the close connection between academic knowledge and corporate reality, reflecting the company's commitment to talent development and skills enhancement. The curriculum covers areas such as supply management, global economy and strategic management, financial analysis and control, project and risk management, compliance, procurement management systems, and data analysis, and includes an internship component, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real business scenarios.
This postgraduate program is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration among several faculties at the University of Minho, including the School of Engineering, the School of Economics, Management and Political Science, the School of Law, the School of Psychology and Science, and the Institute of Social Sciences. According to the two institutions, this diversity helps address different dimensions of procurement and supply chain strategic management from a comprehensive perspective. Student selection will consider academic background, motivation for participating in the program, and individual interview performance.
